With the Course Quizzes add-on<\/strong> for MemberPress Courses<\/a><\/strong>, you'll be able to create and add quizzes to any of your existing or new courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This document will cover how MemberPress Quizzes work, quiz settings, and available question types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> This add-on is available to MemberPress Growth<\/strong> and Scale<\/strong> plan members. If you're subscribed to the Launch plan, you can upgrade to the Growth and Scale plan. To upgrade, click the Change Plan<\/strong> link on your account page<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting Started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once you've installed and activated the MemberPress Courses add-on<\/a><\/strong>, you can install the MemberPress Course Quizzes add-on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > MemberPress > Add-ons<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Browse add-ons for the Course Quizzes add-on or search for \u201cquizzes<\/strong>\u201c using the search tool.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Once you find the add-on, click the Install Add-on<\/strong> button. This will automatically install and activate the add-on.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Note<\/strong>: If the MemberPress Course Quizzes add-on is not listed, ensure your license key is activated<\/strong><\/a> on the MemberPress settings page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      MemberPress comes with quiz settings for each of your courses, as well as separate settings for every quiz block. Depending on your needs, you can use MemberPress quizzes in different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      MemberPress Quizzes can be used as a learning tool or to test your users' knowledge. Thus, you could combine different types of question blocks to deliver your learning content through a series of questions. Also, you could combine quizzes with your certificates<\/a><\/strong>, requiring users to pass the test before receiving the certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You can add quizzes to MemberPress Courses<\/a><\/strong> through a course Curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Quizzes settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      You'll find all the settings for Quizzes under the Courses Settings <\/strong>tab. Go to your WordPress dashboard > MemberPress > Courses<\/strong>. Click on the course where you'd like the quiz to be, and click Settings<\/strong>. You'll see the new Quizzes options there:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Now let's see what each of these settings does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Lesson\/Quiz Title<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This option controls whether the Lesson and Quiz titles are to be displayed. Titles will be enabled by default. On the other hand, you can hide these titles on all your lessons and quizzes by disabling this option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Require Previous Lesson\/Quiz\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Enable this option if you want to require students to complete a previous lesson\/quiz before they can gain access to the next lesson\/quiz.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Note:\u00a0<\/strong>The first lesson of a section will require completion of the last lesson\/quiz of the previous section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Selecting this option will allow students to see whether an answer is correct or incorrect. Disable this option if you don't want students to know which questions they answered correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Select this option if you want to show students the correct answers after they complete the quiz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Quiz Blocks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      MemberPress quizzes are created within the Gutenberg block-based editor. All types of quiz questions have their separate block, allowing you to edit quizzes like any other WordPress post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Multiple Choice Block<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Here, you can write a question, add multiple answer choices, and indicate a single correct answer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      On the right, you'll see where you can label the question as \u201crequired\u201d and add feedback your students will see if they choose an incorrect answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Multiple Answer Question Block<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      This block allows you to write a question, add multiple answers, and mark multiple correct answers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      True\/False Question Block<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      This block is as straightforward as it gets. Write a phrase, then indicate whether \u201ctrue\u201d or \u201cfalse\u201d is the correct response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Short Answer Block<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Using the short answer block, you write a question or prompt, and your student is given a field where they can provide a short written answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Essay Block<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      With this block, you write a question or prompt and indicate the minimum\/maximum number of characters required. As with the short answer block, your student is shown a field where they can type a response. The student sees an alert if the response is not within the indicated number or characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Fill in the Blanks Block<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      With the Fill in the Blanks block, you can add questions in the form of text with blanks. Your students will need to fill in the blanks by typing in the correct answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      To replace the words in your text with the blanks, simply wrap the word in square brackets (e.g. [red]). In case of multiple correct answers, add them in the same square brackets, separated by commas (e.g. [red, scarlet, ruby]).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Note: <\/b>When setting up the questions, please keep in mind that answers are case-sensitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The block comes with additional settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
