How To Disable Comments on Upcoming Posts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you've had your membership site blog for a while and have decided that you do not want to allow people to comment on posts moving forward, there is a simple way to achieve this in your WordPress dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings >> Discussion.<\/li>
  2. Find the option that says, \u201cAllow people to post comments on new articles\u201d and uncheck it.<\/li>
  3. Click \u201cSave Changes.\u201d<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    It's as simple as that! Now, none of your future posts will allow users to comment. This will disable comments on all your future posts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to Disable Comments on a Certain Blog Post<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Disabling comments for your membership site's blog posts are pretty straightforward. The process does not necessarily require a WordPress plugin, nor does it require any coding knowledge to achieve. With just the click of a few buttons, you've reached your goal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Posts >> All Posts.<\/li>
    2. Find the title of the blog post that you'd like to disable comments on and click \u201cQuick Edit.\u201d<\/li>

        How To Disable Comments on Every Single Post<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        If you have decided that you don't want any blog comments at all on any of your blog posts, there is a way to manually do this without needing a plugin:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to \u201cPosts >> All Posts.\u201d<\/li>
        2. Click the checkbox to select all of your blog posts.<\/li>
        3. Go to the \u201cBulk Actions\u201d dropdown menu and click \u201cEdit\u201d then \u201cApply.\u201d<\/li>
        4. Find the \u201cComments\u201d dropdown and select \u201cDo Not Allow,\u201d then \u201cUpdate.\u201d<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
