If left unchecked, all transactions will automatically complete on their own.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Send Welcome email when \u201cAdmin Must Manually Complete Transactions\u201d is enabled<\/strong> \u2013 This option will force the Welcome email to be sent to the user after they register, even if you have the Manually Complete Transactions option enabled. This is useful if you want your members to have their welcome information\u00a0<strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong> or maybe you've included some offline payment instructions in the welcome email etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not cancel the old plan on upgrades when \u201cAdmin Must Manually Complete Transactions\u201d is enabled \u2013 <\/strong>If \u201cAdmin Must Manually Complete Transactions\u201d is enabled, then enabling this option will keep the old membership plan active when a user upgrades (or downgrades) their membership until the admin completes the transactions. This prevents the user from losing access while waiting for the admin to manually complete the upgrade\/downgrade transaction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong style=\"background-color: initial;\">Description<\/strong> \u2013 Use the text box here to enter any additional information that may be necessary for you to receive payment through this offline gateway. This could be mailing instructions, bank details for direct payment, etc. What is entered here will show below the gateway option (if selected) on the registration page. <strong style=\"background-color: initial;\">Note:<\/strong>\u00a0The text box does support new lines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"test\">How to Test Your Offline Gateway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To test the setup of your offline gateway, simply visit the registration page while logged out as admin and go through the registration process like a normal user. If you have selected the \u201cAdmin Must Manually Complete Transactions\u201d for this gateway option, you can review the above video starting at minute 3:54.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managing Offline Payments and Subscriptions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Payments and subscriptions created with the offline gateway must be managed manually. In this case, there is no communication with any offline payment system you might be using. Thus, there is no way for MemberPress to track changes automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When your users subscribe to a membership for the first time, MemberPress will generate a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/memberpress.com\/docs\/using-the-transactions-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">transaction<\/a><\/strong>. In case the subscription is made for the recurring membership, MemberPress will also create a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/memberpress.com\/docs\/using-the-subscriptions-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">subscription<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you enable the <strong>Admin Must Manually Complete Transactions<\/strong> option, you will need to complete the transaction manually. This means that once you receive the offline payment, you will need to navigate to the Transactions page. Here, you should search for the transaction generated on registration, and change the transaction <strong>Status <\/strong>to <strong>Complete<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>One-time subscriptions<\/strong> only have <strong>one transaction<\/strong>. This transaction is generated on registration, and the subscription will expire once the transaction expires. Accordingly, there is <strong>no need for additional actions<\/strong> in this case (other than completing the transaction as previously mentioned). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, <strong>recurring subscriptions<\/strong> have one subscription and <strong>multiple transactions<\/strong> associated with the subscription. Similarly to one-time subscriptions, the initial transaction is also created for recurring subscriptions on registration. <strong>Every renewal will require an additional transaction<\/strong>. When an offline payment gateway is used, these <strong>renewal transactions will not be generated automatically<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hence, each time you receive an offline payment for the recurring subscription, you will need to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/memberpress.com\/docs\/manual-transactions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">create a transaction manually<\/a><\/strong> and assign it to the subscription in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"refund\">How to Process Refunds<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With this gateway, the refund would need to take place offline via your preferred method. After you have sent the money to be refunded, be sure to find the transaction associated with that user and mark it as \u201crefunded\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"issues\">Gateway Issues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have followed the instructions on this page\u00a0<br><em style=\"background-color: initial;\">exactly<\/em>\u00a0for setting up your gateway, then it should work properly. So, if you are noticing issues with your gateway, it is likely going to be related to one of the items listed below. We have also included what to do if you are seeing these issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Your users are seeing this error before getting to the payment screen:\u00a0<\/strong><b style=\"font-style: italic;\">ERROR Invalid Payment Method.\u00a0<\/b>\u2013<em>\u00a0<\/em>This likely means that you have enabled <a href=\"https:\/\/memberpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/file-EN8cRt3i0E-1.png\">the\u00a0Customize Payment Methods<\/a> and left this gateway option\u00a0<em>unchecked.<\/em>\u00a0To fix this, simply uncheck the\u00a0Customize Payment Methods option altogether, or if you need it to disable other gateway options for your membership, be sure to check this gateway option.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Help?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you still having issues with your Offline gateway\u00a0<br><strong style=\"background-color: initial;\">\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><em style=\"background-color: initial;\">even after<\/em>\u00a0reviewing the solutions outlined in the Gateway Issues section above?
