Pay by Bank<\/a><\/strong> is a real-time payment method based on UK open banking<\/a><\/strong>. It allows customers in the United Kingdom to pay directly from their bank accounts. Customers confirm payments in their banking app, without using a card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MemberPress integration with Stripe allows you to receive payments through Pay by Bank. This document explains how to enable Pay by Bank on your membership site. It also covers the requirements and limitations of this payment method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Receiving Payments With Pay by Bank<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

MemberPress supports Pay by Bank only through the built-in Stripe integration. Thus, before enabling Pay by Bank, connectez Stripe \u00e0 MemberPress sur votre site<\/a><\/strong>. En outre, tester la connexion<\/a><\/strong> to confirm it works correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once your Stripe connection is set, follow these steps to enable Pay by Bank in Stripe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to your Stripe account, and navigate to Stripe Dashboard > Settings > Payments > Payment methods tab<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Trouver Pay by Bank<\/strong> on the list of payment methods. To narrow the list, click the Type<\/strong> filter, and select \u201cPaiements en temps r\u00e9el<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Hover over Pay by Bank<\/strong>et cliquez sur le bouton Activer<\/strong> button. Alternatively, click the ic\u00f4ne \u00e0 trois points<\/strong> next to the payment method, and select the Activer<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Remarque :<\/strong> Your Stripe payment form will show all payment methods enabled in MemberPress. Pay by Bank will show on your forms even when disabled in your Stripe account. To avoid issues, enable Pay by Bank in your Stripe account first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Pay by Bank at Checkout<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Once Pay by Bank is enabled, the registration forms of your one-time memberships will show this payment option. Pay by Bank works with both \u00c9l\u00e9ments de rayures<\/strong> et Paiement par carte de cr\u00e9dit<\/strong> forms. On the payment form, the option is labeled \u201cPay By Bank App<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When users select the \u201cPay By Bank App<\/strong>\u201d option, the form displays a list of UK banks. Users need to select their bank and submit the registration form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Next, users will see the \u201cComplete payment<\/strong>\u201d pop-up with payment instructions and a QR code. Users can scan the QR code with their phone camera and confirm the payment in their banking app. Alternatively, they can click the \u201cContinue on Web<\/strong>\u201d button to complete the payment in the browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The bank confirms Pay by Bank payments asynchronously. Hence, the payment confirmation can take up to 60 seconds. Once the bank confirms the payment, MemberPress redirects users to the thank you page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What's Important to Know About Using Pay by Bank?<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Pay by Bank option will appear at checkout only when all conditions are met. The integration comes with several limitations imposed by Stripe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Pay by Bank supports only non-recurring payments.<\/strong> Thus, this payment method will not be visible on the registration pages of your recurring memberships. Also, Pay by Bank doesn't support delayed payments. Accordingly, this payment option ne sera pas disponible pour les adh\u00e9sions avec essais gratuits ou payants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Further, to use Pay by Bank with MemberPress, set la devise dans les param\u00e8tres MemberPress<\/a><\/strong> \u00e0 GBP<\/strong>. Stripe supports Pay by Bank payments in euros. However, the MemberPress integration currently supports British pounds only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Also, Pay by Bank is available only for payments between \u00a30.50 and \u00a310,000<\/strong>. This payment option will not be visible for memberships priced outside this range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
