\u00ab Configuring the Marketing Tab<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\t There are two versions of ActiveCampaign integration: Lists Version and Tags Version. They cannot be used together. This document covers the Lists Version<\/strong> of the ActiveCampaign integration for MemberPress. Click Here for the Tags Version documentation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong>\u00a0This add-on is\u00a0available to MemberPress Growth<\/strong> and Scale<\/strong> plan members. If you're subscribed to the Launch plan, you can upgrade to the Growth and Scale plan. To upgrade, click the\u00a0Change Plan<\/strong>\u00a0link on your\u00a0account page<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1 \u2013 Install the ActiveCampaign\u00a0Add-on<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In your WordPress dashboard, head to MemberPress -> Add-ons,\u00a0<\/em>and click to install the ActiveCampaign (Lists Version) add-on. Once it's installed, it will be automatically activated. You'll then see the ActiveCampaign integration available in the \u201cMarketing\u201d tab of the MemberPress Settings page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2\u00a0\u2013 Get the ActiveCampaign Account ID<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Login to ActiveCampaign.com<\/a><\/strong> to get your Account ID (it will look something like<\/em>1234567890123). <\/em>Then\u00a0paste it into the ActiveCampaign Account field shown in the image below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> If you\u00a0input the Account ID, and MemberPress does not populate your ActiveCampaign List, it may be that you have a newer ActiveCampaign account. In this case, the ID may be your username. Your username should be the\u00a0bold\u00a0part<\/strong> of the URL you use to access ActiveCampaign (http:\/\/username<\/strong>.activehosted.com\/admin\/).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter the \u201cAccount name\u201d value into the ActiveCampaign Account<\/em> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3\u00a0\u2013 Get the ActiveCampaign\u00a0API Key<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Login to ActiveCampaign.com<\/a><\/strong>, click on your profile to expand the menu list and click on Settings.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then click on the Developer<\/em> option to find your API Key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4 \u2013 Paste the ActiveCampaign API Key in\u00a0MemberPress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Copy The API Key from Step 2 into the ActiveCampaign API Key<\/em> field, as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Select Your ActiveCampaign List<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once MemberPress has established a connection,\u00a0select your ActiveCampaign List from the drop-down option. All users (paid or not) will be added to this list when they sign up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6 \u2013 Set Up Per-Membership Lists (Optional, but STRONGLY recommended)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Per-Membership\u00a0lists allow you to\u00a0automatically\u00a0segment your members into different lists for marketing purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once ActiveCampaign is enabled, a new option will appear under the \u201cAdvanced\u201d tab of the Membership Options on the membership edit pages. This option allows you to specify a list to which only members who purchase that specific membership\u00a0will be added<\/strong>. Members will be automatically\u00a0<\/strong>added to or removed from this list depending on their\u00a0current subscription status<\/strong>\u00a0for that membership. This list\u00a0must\u00a0<\/strong>be different from the Global list you have specified in the Options AND should be different from other Per-Membership\u00a0lists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enable and set up your Per-Membership lists:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Go to\u00a0MemberPress -> Membership<\/em> tab -> and click edit <\/em>on your membership<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Go to Membership Options -> Advanced<\/em> tab -> and click the checkbox for the \u201cActive Campaign list for this Product\u201d option. With that checked, you will be able to select a list from a drop-down of lists in your ActiveCampaign account.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    And you're done!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Now just configure MemberPress to use the correct campaign(s) as described on our Marketing page<\/a>, and you're all set!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to Send Custom Fields to ActiveCampaign<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    By default, MemberPress sends a user's email, first and last name, and updates global merge, and per-membership tags to ActiveCampaign. If you'd like to also send custom fields that you create in the MemberPress \u2192 Settings \u2192 Fields tab, you'll need to follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to WordPress Dashboard \u2192 MemberPress \u2192 Settings \u2192 Fields tab and create a custom field as explained in the Creating Custom Fields section of this article<\/a> (or just copy the slug of a custom field). In the example below, the slug is\u00a0mepr_company_name<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      \n\t\t NOTE<\/strong>:\u00a0This will work only with the custom field of \u201cText\u201d type, so you can't use it with dropdowns, multi-select, or any other field types.\n\t<\/p>\n\n\n\n
