MemberPress' Unauthorized Redirect option gives you a way to redirect unauthorized users to a specified custom page when they try to access the protected content on your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This allows you to provide additional information to your site visitors and combine the login form with pricing, special offers, and registration options on this custom page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, since MemberPress rules protect only the post content outputted through the_content()<\/strong> function. Some themes and plugins render their content outside of this function. In this case, that part of the content will remain unprotected. Hence, setting up the Unauthorized Redirect<\/strong> is a great solution to protect entire posts by redirecting users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How To Set Up the Unauthorized Redirection<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By default, on any protected post or page, unauthorized users will see the unauthorized message instead of the post content. If you enable the Unauthorized Redirect option, MemberPress will prevent unauthorized users from accessing the page and immediately redirect them to the page you specified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enable the unauthorized redirection, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > MemberPress > Settings > Pages tab<\/strong>, and scroll down to the Unauthorized Access<\/strong> section;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Check the Redirect unauthorized visitors to a specific URL<\/strong> checkbox to enable the unauthorized redirection;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Copy the URL or slug of your custom page to which you would like to redirect the unauthorized users, and add that to the URL to direct unauthorized visitors to<\/strong> field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click the Update Options<\/strong> button to save changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Note:<\/strong> If the page used as your redirection URL is located on your site, you can use either the URL or only the slug. On the other hand, if you are redirecting users to the URL on some other site, you would need to use the whole URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
