Add MemberPress as Admin to Your Apple Developer Account

The MemberPress App add-on enables membership site owners to provide their members with a mobile app experience. To streamline the iOS app creation process, MemberPress offers a Done-For-You (DFY) service where the MemberPress team handles the entire app build and configuration.

To build and publish the iOS app, the MemberPress team requires Admin access to the Apple Developer Account. This document provides step-by-step instructions for inviting MemberPress as an Admin user.

Understanding Team Access Requirements

Granting Admin access to the Apple Developer Account allows the MemberPress team to:

  • manage certificates,
  • manage identifiers,
  • provision profiles for the iOS app.

The MemberPress team requires specific Apple Developer account permissions for comprehensive iOS app support and management:

  • Admin access level provides complete control over certificates, identifiers, and provisioning profiles. Admin permissions enable team members to manage all aspects of iOS app configuration.
  • Certificate management requires admin access for signing, certificate creation, and renewal. The team configures proper code signing for app distribution.
  • Identifier configuration enables Bundle ID setup and capability management. Admin access allows comprehensive app identifier customization.
  • Profile provisioning provides management of development and distribution profiles. The team maintains proper provisioning for testing and submission.
  • Continuous management maintains ongoing iOS app operations and updates. Team access enables proactive support and configuration adjustments.

The invitation process involves adding the MemberPress team email (appsup@memberpress.com) as an Admin usuario through App Store Connect.

Requisitos previos

Before proceeding, the following requirements must be met:

Nota: Organization accounts can add unlimited team members with full permissions. Individual accounts have limitations on access permissions for invited users.

Inviting MemberPress as Admin

Before you start, navigate to the Apple Developer Account and sign in with your Apple ID. Confirm that your Apple ID has the Account Holder or Admin role in the organization, and that you are enrolled in the Apple Developer Program.

Once you ensure your account meets these requirements, follow these steps to add MemberPress as Admin:

  1. Haga clic en App Store Connect to access the user management area. Alternatively, navigate directly to App Store Connect.
  2. Haga clic en Users and Access in the left sidebar.
  3. Haga clic en el botón Add (+) button in the top-right corner to invite a new user.
  4. Complete the invite form with the following details:
    • Nombre de pila: MemberPress
    • Apellido: App Support
    • Correo electrónico: appsup@memberpress.com
  5. En Rolesseleccione Admin role.
  6. En Apps, select the app(s) to be managed by MemberPress.
  7. En Developer ResourcesCompruebe Access to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles opción.
  8. Haga clic en Invite to send the invitation.

The MemberPress team will receive and accept the invitation. Once accepted, the team can configure provisioning profiles, certificates, and other app settings.

Important Notes

  • The invitation expires after three days. If the MemberPress team does not accept within this period, a new invitation must be sent.
  • En Access to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles permission is required for the MemberPress team to manage app signing and distribution.
  • Access can be modified or revoked at any time through the Users and Access sección.

Solución de problemas

  1. The “Users and Access” section is not visible: Only Account Holders and Admins can invite users. Verify the correct role is assigned under the team profile.
  2. The “Invite” button is grayed out or fails: Ensure every required field is filled correctly, especially the email address. Refresh the page and try again.
  3. MemberPress is not listed under the team after accepting the invitation: Apple's system can take a few minutes to sync. If the user is still missing after 15 minutes, check the team filter or resend the invitation.
  4. The wrong app was selected under “Apps”: Edit MemberPress's access by returning to Users and Access, clicking the user name, and updating the Apps permissions.

Revoking Access

After the DFY service is complete, access can be revoked if desired.

  1. Navegue hasta el Apple Developer Account and sign in.
  2. Haga clic en App Store Connect to access the user management area. Alternatively, navigate directly to App Store Connect.
  3. Haga clic en Users and Access in the left sidebar.
  4. Find and click the MemberPress App Support user account.
  5. Desplácese hacia abajo y haga clic en Borrar.
  6. Confirme the deletion in the dialog.
