Your WordPress theme tells the platform how to show your pages and posts to the world, which is why every WordPress site has to have one. To put it another way, a theme is a collection of files (including graphics, style sheets, and code) that controls the appearance of your website.

One of the great things about WordPress themes is that there are a TON of them to choose from. And they range in price from free to a little over $1000.
