Configuring Deep Linking in MemberPress App

Deep linking directs users to specific app screens using URLs. This functionality enables targeted content access, including blog posts, membership pages, product offerings, and settings screens. This document explains how to configure deep links for various content types and implement them within app navigation.

Understanding Deep Linking

Deep links open specific app screens when users tap URLs. Links function similarly to website URLs but open native app screens instead of web pages. Deep linking enhances user experience by eliminating navigation steps and directing members to relevant content immediately. Supported content types include WordPress pages, posts, App Pages, and In-App Products.

Access Deep Link Settings

Deep links are configured through menu settings and content-specific interfaces.

1. In your WordPress Dashboard, go to MP App > Menus.
   
2. Choose either Tab Bar Menu ou More Screen Menu, depending on where you want the link to appear.

Linking to WordPress Pages and Posts

WordPress pages and posts can be linked directly within app menus.

1. Navegue até Dashboard > MP App > Menus.
   
2. Select the menu for link addition.
   
3. Localize o WordPress Pages ou Publicações seção.
   
4. Find the desired page or post in the list.
   
5. Check the checkbox next to the content item.
   
6. Clique em Adicionar ao menu.

7. Drag the new menu item to the desired position.
   
8. Clique no botão Salvar menu.

Alternatively, custom URLs can be added for specific pages or posts.

Adding Custom Page URLs

1. Navegue até Dashboard > MP App > Menus.
   
2. Select the menu for link addition.
   
3. Localize o Custom Links seção.
   
4. Enter the full page or post URL in the URL field.
   
5. Enter display text in the Link Text campo.
   
6. Clique em Adicionar ao menu.

7. Drag the menu item to the desired position.
   
8. Clique no botão Salvar menu.

Custom URLs provide flexibility for linking to specific content that does not appear in the WordPress Pages list.

Link to App Pages

1. Ir para MP App > App Pages and edit the desired page.

2. In the sidebar, expand the App Page tab and find the Deep Linking seção.
   
3. Add the URL.

Link to In-App Products

In-App Products represent membership plans or offerings purchasable through the app. Each product has a unique deep link URL.

1. Ir para MP App > In-App Purchases > Products and edit a product.
   
2. Role para baixo até a seção Deep Linking section and copy the URL (e.g., https://yourdomain.com/mpapp/products/1).
   
3. Use the link in menus or buttons within App Pages.
   

Supported screen slugs include:

• notifications
  
• iap_products
  
• And others as defined in your custom screen configuration.
  

Link to Settings Screens

Settings screens provide access to account preferences, notification controls, and privacy options. Specific settings sections can be linked directly.

1. Abaixo de Custom Links, clique em Adicionar ao menu.
   
2. Use any of these formats for settings:
   
   • /mpapp/settings/
     
   • /mpapp/settings/login-information/
     
   • /mpapp/settings/push-notifications/
     
   • /mpapp/settings/email-preferences/
     
   • /mpapp/settings/privacy-settings/
     
3. Save your menu to apply changes.
