When you’re working on a website, you may not always need maintenance mode in the beginning. However, what if the project takes a bit longer than expected? Or what if there were a few unexpected setbacks that are delaying your website’s launch?
You don’t want visitors to access your website and find it out of sorts—this can ruin your business’ credibility. Putting your site under maintenance mode will help to combat this problem.
Enabling maintenance mode allows you to create a visually pleasing page letting your visitors know your site will be back soon—keeping your customers engaged and your business professional.

To get started with SeedProd, the first thing you’ll need to do is install and activate the plugin in your WordPress dashboard.
Next, you need to select the status of the website. You’ll have the option to choose Ativar o modo Coming Soon ou Ativar o modo de manutenção. The plugin also gives you the option to redirect your website visitors to another site, but we’ll focus on the first two options in this post.
After you’ve made your choice, click Salvar todas as alterações. Now it’s time to customize your maintenance mode page.
Clique no botão Editar em breve/Página de manutenção button, and you’ll be navigated to a list of ready-made templates you can use to create your page.
When you click on one of the templates, you’ll be able to see all of the customization options available. Here, you’ll be able to add your logos, social media sharing buttons, and a countdown timer. You can even include your marketing por e-mail software.
Once you’ve customized your page to your liking, click Salvar, and you’re all done.

SeedProd will automatically show your maintenance mode page to anyone who isn’t logged in. All other users will still be able to log in and continue browsing your website as usual.
If you have an online business, such as a membership website, users would also still be able to log in and use the site. If you don’t want some users to see your site during this time, SeedProd lets you decide who can gain access while it’s under construction. All you have to do is go to Settings > Coming Soon Pro > Access Controls. Aqui você pode escolher uma das três maneiras de controlar o acesso do usuário:

Ir para Settings > Advanced Settings and enter the URLs of the pages you’d like to include or exclude from maintenance mode. Once you click Salvar todas as alterações, you’re all set!
