Getting Started with the ReadyLaunch™ Theme

ReadyLaunch™ is a WordPress theme included with MemberPress plans. The theme provides the visual layer for MemberPress membership sites. It includes pre-built templates, patterns, preset styles, and customization options.

This guide explains the core ReadyLaunch™ theme features and setup requirements. It also covers the basic customization steps for building your website.

Observação: The ReadyLaunch™ theme is available with the MemberPress Launch, Growth, and Scale plans. An active MemberPress license is required to download and use the theme.

What Is the ReadyLaunch™ Theme?

A WordPress theme controls your website's appearance and functionality. It contains a collection of files with your website's design and features. Every WordPress site requires an active theme to display content to visitors.

Themes provide:

  • Visual Design: colors, fonts, and layouts;
  • Page Structure: headers, footers, and content areas;
  • Responsive Display: mobile and desktop compatibility;
  • Extra Features: functions beyond the WordPress basics.

Most WordPress themes are generic. They do not account for membership pages like account, pricing, and checkout pages. The ReadyLaunch™ theme is designed to style these MemberPress pages automatically.

Introducing ReadyLaunch™

ReadyLaunch™ is a Full Site Editing (FSE) theme for WordPress. FSE allows you to visually edit every part of your website. You edit all parts using blocks in the default (Gutenberg) editor.

With the ReadyLaunch™ FSE theme, you can:

  • Apply one of the six preset styles to your entire website, or customize your own;
  • Choose one of the six typography presets (font combinations);
  • Edit headers and footers visually;
  • Import and edit modelos e padrões pré-criados;
  • Create custom page templates;
  • Design pages and posts with blocos de arrastar e soltar;
  • Prévia changes before publishing;
  • Automatically style the ReadyLaunch™ blocks from the MemberPress plugin.

ReadyLaunch™ Theme and MemberPress

The ReadyLaunch™ theme works as a standalone WordPress theme. However, it is designed to pair with the MemberPress plugin.

The MemberPress plugin provides FSE templates for your key membership pages:

  • Conta;
  • Login;
  • Preços (groups);
  • Registration and checkout (memberships);
  • Obrigado.

The plugin also provides membership blocks, such as the Login, Conta, Registroe Tabela de preços blocks. The ReadyLaunch™ theme styles these templates and blocks automatically. They adopt the colors and typography you set for the theme.

Importante: The ReadyLaunch™ theme is a separate product from the ReadyLaunch™ templates in the MemberPress plugin. The Modelos ReadyLaunch™ design MemberPress pages only. The ReadyLaunch™ theme controls the design of your entire website.

ReadyLaunch™ Theme Requirements

The ReadyLaunch™ theme is included with your MemberPress plan. After you set up your WordPress website, install and activate the ReadyLaunch™ theme. Then, add your content.

Before you start, prepare the basics:

  • Have your logo ready for upload;
  • Prepare your brand colors (e.g. the HEX code of each color).

In addition, the following preparations are advisable when activating the theme on a website with existing content:

  • Back up your current website;
  • Deactivate unnecessary plugins;
  • Update WordPress to the latest version.

Finally, ensure your website meets these requirements:

  • WordPress 6.7 or higher;
  • PHP 7.4 or higher;
  • The MemberPress plugin installed and activated (required for the membership templates and blocks);
  • HTTPS support (recommended).

Website Basics With the ReadyLaunch™ Theme

Once you activate the ReadyLaunch™ theme, you can customize it and add your content.

Brand Basics

You can start with your website brand basics (site title, tagline, and icon). These options are available under the general WordPress settings.

Follow these steps to configure your brand basics:

  1. Navegue até Painel de controle > Configurações > Geral.
  1. Abaixo de Site Title, add the name of your website.
  2. Opcionalmente, na seção Título option, add a short description, slogan, or catchphrase for your website.
  3. Defina o Site Icon (browser icon).
    1. Clique em Choose a Site Icon.
    2. Clique em Select Files to upload an image, or choose one from the Media Library. The icon image should be square and at least 512×512 pixels in size.
    3. Clique no botão Set as Site Icon botão.
  4. Clique em Salvar alterações na parte inferior da página.

Site Editor

Once you complete the brand basics, navigate to Painel de controle > Aparência > Editor para acessar o Site Editor.

Here, you can modify your website's styling. You can also visually edit pre-built templates and patterns, or create custom ones.

The left side of the Site Editor shows the navigation menu. The right side gives you a real-time preview of your website.

The header and the footer are special areas of your website. These areas appear on every page and post of your website.

O cabeçalho is the area located at the top of every page. It typically includes your logo, site title, and primary menu. You can also add other content here.

O rodapé is the area located at the bottom of every page. It typically includes your terms and conditions, privacy policy, and business-related links. You can also add other essential content and links here.

By default, the ReadyLaunch™ theme applies its default header and footer upon activation. The default header and footer are editable template parts applied to all your pages and posts.

You can modify your header and footer content and design by following these steps:

  1. Navegue até Painel de controle > Aparência > Editor to open the Site Editor.
  2. Click anywhere on your website preview to start editing. This opens the default header and footer template parts for editing.
  3. Click directly on any element within the header or footer area that you wish to modify. Alternatively, click the Visão geral do documento (3-dash) icon and select the desired block from the list.
  1. Selecione o Cabeçalho template part by clicking within it or selecting it in the Document Overview panel. Here, you can add, modify, or remove any block within your header.
  2. Clique no botão Site Logo block. Select the logo image by clicking Choose logo. You can also apply styling to your logo.
  1. After you set your logo, click on the Site Title block. Apply settings and styling to your site title.
  1. Clique no botão Header Navigation block to set your primary menu.
  2. In the block menu, click Editar to modify the Header Navigation template part.
  1. Por fim, clique no botão Rodapé template part. Here, you can edit the default footer design. As with the header, you can add, modify, or remove any block.
  2. Once you finish modifying your header and footer, click the Salvar para aplicar as alterações.

Estilos

Next, set your website's colors, typography, and other styling elements:

  1. Navegue até Painel de controle > Aparência > Editore clique no botão Estilos option in the left-side menu.
  1. The ReadyLaunch™ theme comes with six preset styles: Beach, Bismark, Forest, Pastel, Porte Rhino. Clique no botão Browse styles link to preview and select one of the preset styles, or keep the default style.
  1. Once you select a preset style, click the Browse styles link to return to the Styles menu. Here, you can further customize the chosen style using the following options.
    1. Tipografia: choose one of the six pre-made font combinations. Alternatively, set your own fonts and font styles (e.g. size and spacing).
    2. Colors: apply your colors to different elements on your website.
    3. Histórico: set the background image if needed.
    4. Shadows: manage pre-built shadow styles for your website, or create custom ones.
    5. Layout: set your website layout (width, padding, and spacing).
  1. Optionally, modify the default appearance of specific blocks. Click on the Blocos option, and select the block you wish to change.

Adding Your Content

After your website styling is in place, you can start adding content. You add content by creating pages and posts.

Páginas hold your main content, which is often static and timeless (rarely updated). Examples include your home page, pricing page, and login page.

Publicações hold timely, regularly updated content. Examples of posts include news, articles, updates, and blog entries.

To add pages, navigate to Dashboard > Páginas > Adicionar página. Similarly, to add posts, navigate to Dashboard > Posts > Add Post. In both cases, this opens the default (Gutenberg) editor. Here, you can add blocks of content (e.g. headings, paragraphs, images) and style them.

You can design your posts and pages with any Gutenberg blocks. Furthermore, you can use ReadyLaunch™ patterns to build feature lists, testimonials, call-to-action sections, and hero banners.

ReadyLaunch™ Theme Patterns

When you add a new page, WordPress automatically presents the available ReadyLaunch™ starter content patterns. Patterns are pre-designed groups of blocks, allowing you to import entire designs with one click.

Furthermore, while editing a page or a post, you can preview and add multiple patterns. Patterns are available at Block inserter > Patterns. A separate document covers the ReadyLaunch™ blocks and patterns.

ReadyLaunch™ Theme Templates

The ReadyLaunch™ theme comes with pre-built layouts for pages and posts, known as modelos. For example, templates allow one page design to include a sidebar and another to exclude it.

In addition, the MemberPress plugin provides the FSE templates for your membership pages. These include the account, login, pricing, registration, and thank you pages. The theme styles these templates automatically.

Você pode change the template for any page or post within the Post editor. This applies a different layout without affecting the content of the page or post.

Próximas etapas

With the basics covered, populate your website with the necessary pages. These pages provide information about your website and business. Depending on your website's purpose, you can also add posts to share information with visitors and encourage engagement.

Next, set up your membership structure. You can criar associações e Proteja seu conteúdo with MemberPress rules.
