How To Disable Comments on Upcoming Posts
If you've had your membership site blog for a while and have decided that you do not want to allow people to comment on posts moving forward, there is a simple way to achieve this in your WordPress dashboard.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings >> Discussion.
- Find the option that says, “Allow people to post comments on new articles” and uncheck it.
- Click “Save Changes.”
It's as simple as that! Now, none of your future posts will allow users to comment. This will disable comments on all your future posts.
How to Disable Comments on a Certain Blog Post
Disabling comments for your membership site's blog posts are pretty straightforward. The process does not necessarily require a WordPress plugin, nor does it require any coding knowledge to achieve. With just the click of a few buttons, you've reached your goal!
- In the WordPress dashboard, go to Posts >> All Posts.
- Find the title of the blog post that you'd like to disable comments on and click “Quick Edit.”
- Find “Allow Comments” and uncheck the box.

- On the sidebar, go to “Document >>Discussion.”

- In your WordPress dashboard, go to “Posts >> All Posts.”
- Click the checkbox to select all of your blog posts.
- Go to the “Bulk Actions” dropdown menu and click “Edit” then “Apply.”
- Find the “Comments” dropdown and select “Do Not Allow,” then “Update.”
