Referring to our courses example again, titles like “Freshman,” “Sophomore,” and so on give the impression that users gain in seniority as they progress through levels or purchase one membership over another. Well-written labels can even persuade your current customers to upgrade their memberships.

Put yourself in the customers' shoes, and think about what would inspire you as a customer. No one wants to be presented with dull, corny, or unoriginal options.
